The Aero Design & Engineering Co. called the 520 the Aero Commander 520. They actually
'pinched' the name from a Studebaker car, even going to a local scrapyard to buy
a suitable car badge and use it to stylise their Commander logo.

In Sept '58 Aero Design became a subsidiary of Rockwell-Standard Corporation, then changed
the name to Aero Commander Inc., still as a Rockwell-Standard subsidiary in Oct.
'60. There were some later name changes resulting from marketing and mergers.
